About Coach Michael Fleming

Running isn't just my profession — it's in my blood. As the nephew of Steve Prefontaine, I grew up with Pre as my babysitter, my inspiration, and my uncle. One of my earliest memories is watching him set an American record over 2,000 meters as a gift for my ninth birthday. That fire he carried? It never left our family.

Today, I channel that same Prefontaine spirit into coaching runners of all levels. Whether you're lacing up for the first time or chasing a personal best, I bring structured training, genuine connection, and the belief that every runner has a gift worth giving their best for.
